& Systems Group at WIT in 1996, which has grown to 150 people and

Geoffrey MacGillivray is a Senior Security Product Manager at RIM
supporting BlackBerry smartphone security. He is responsible for
providing security requirements to the product development process and
ensuring BlackBerry continues to maintain it’s high level of security.
Prior to RIM, Geoff also worked with Semiconductor Insights in their
TechInsights group. He led their Smart Card and security group in
analyzing security on integrated circuits. He led initiatives to
develop advanced security penetration tests designed to assess the
security of smart cards. Mastercard and Visa used this security
analysis to certify smart card integrated circuits for use in their
products.
Mr. MacGillivray holds a Bachelors of Applied Science in Engineering
Physics as well as an Executive MBA, both from Queen’s University. He
